App language
Settings → Appearance → “Language”. Options: Auto (follows the device's language and, if it is not one of those available, uses Spanish), Español, English, Français, Deutsch, Português and Italiano. The long legal texts only exist in Spanish and English.
Where the detail pages come from
Each title is shown with what your provider gives, and the app completes it with other data sources so that there is artwork, synopses and ratings:
- Filoteca catalogue: on by default (Settings → Sources → Data & cache). It only sends the title's identifier.
- OMDb: provides IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic ratings and awards. It needs a free OMDb key (about 1,000 queries a day): Settings → Sources → “OMDb key”. The data appears under “Additional information” on the detail page.
- TMDB: with an active licence, the app uses Filoteca's TMDB without you entering a key. Your own key is marked “Coming soon”.
The “Details from TMDB” selector (Data & cache) decides when it is used: “Fill in what is missing”, “Only if basic data is missing”, “Use OMDb if configured” or “Do not use TMDB”.
Country and quality
The country is deduced from the provider's tag (“ES|”, “France | Drame”…) and you can filter by country or by continent. The tags are removed from the title and shown separately: the country as a label and the quality (4K, HD…) as a badge next to the year and the rating.
Home videos
If your sources are folders with personal videos, tick “Personal videos (no TMDB)” on the source so that no unrelated movie detail page is looked up for them.
