Filoteca includes a selection of public channels and public-domain content so you can try it without connecting anything of your own. It draws on public lists: Filoteca does not host or rebroadcast the content, and availability may vary by country or source.
How to add them
Add source → TV and live broadcasts → Free-to-air and choose an option:
| Option | What it is |
|---|---|
| Free-to-air TV from Spain | Free-to-air Spanish broadcasts from the public iptv-org list (open licence). The TDTChannels list is paused in this version. |
| Classic cinema | Public-domain films from the Internet Archive. They are in English. |
| International channels | Public lists by country (the iptv-org project). Choose the country in the selector. |
Useful details
- These lists have no allowance: you can watch them without a licence and without limit. (The allowances of 5 channels, 2 movies and 2 series only affect your own sources; see the beta and the licence.)
- They are saved like any other M3U list, except “Classic cinema”, which is a separate type.
- If you try to add the same list twice, the app warns you: “You have already added that list.”
- If a public list does not respond, you will see “Could not reach the server…” or “Could not read the M3U playlist”: this is usually temporary, so try again later.
- Some channels may be restricted to their country of origin and not work from abroad.
